Baby,Baby......Totally Gorjuss - Challenge 41

Ok where did the week go??.....honestly  i'm certain somebody has stolen a couple of days!!...but listen....can you hear it??.....thats right complete and utter silence!!.... the kids are off on a jolly with the outlaws today so ive a whole week of peace!!...think how much crafting i'll be able to get done now ..but enough of my waffle...today is my final challenge with Totally Gorjuss and the theme this week is Baby, Baby...which couldnt have been more apt as my cousin gave birth to beautiful twin girls last sunday...aahhhh....BUT!!!....how hard is it to find a twin image..i mean come on..someone if definately missing the boat out there...my Dad is a twin, one of my best friends is also a twin and now these little darlings..but could i find anything...NO!!...so ive had to be creative...hope you likey....

as you can see its an easel card

so i had to stamp the image..scan it..the flip it and put them back to back on the PC....and you all know im technophobic!!!...the sentiment was from a digi set that i got from Create With TLC ....papers are trimcraft "back to Basics"...coloured with promarkers and a bit of stardust stickles :-)

Sarah Hurley Challenge 2 - Anything Goes

See...told you i'd be back...and this time with our second Sarah Hurley Challenge ....i got to set the challenge for this week and thought id keep it nice and simple for you as i know a few peeps have found the colour challenge a little "challenging"..lol...so bearing this in mind "anything goes"..so you've simply no excuse not to join in ...remember you dont have to use any of Sarah's products to take part (though she'd love it if you did!!) and you can enter anything you like....altered items..layouts etc etc...or you can stick to cards....i also know a lot of you peeps out there like sketches so ive created my first ever one..thats right me!!..little miss technophobe!!..i can scarcely believe it my self..rofl..and it is completely optional so those that want to use it can but were just as happy if you do your own thing :-) (see were a real nice bunch!!)but enough of my waffle....heres my sketch

the papers are basic grey which i purchased from teamie Emma's new online store..the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and ive added a little opal dust...and the image is the gorgeous "Sweet and Sassy" from Sugar Nellie..ive finished off the flowers with a little glossy accent...

Totally Gorjuss - Challenge - Congratulations

Me again....this time with my card for this weeks challenge over at Totally Gorjuss   where the theme is "congratulations"...this is a card i made for DH's Auntie & Uncle...papers are Papermania, image is LOTV..ive stamped the image then used embossing powder and my heat gun...the flowers are a mix of Wild Orchid Crafts and Prima...jewels and ribbon (on the gift box) are from my stash....

Passion for Promarkers - Challenge 61 - distressing

Morning!!..well first an update...i STILL have this virus!!..but the show must go on :-)...so this week at Passion For ProMarkers our fabulous teamie Michele has chosen the theme of distressing...and i must say the rest of the girls have come up trumps again..so make sure you pop on over and leave some love :-)..our sponser this week is Just Tracys and the prize is a set of Clear stamps from the Olivers Orchard Range of stamps from Buzzcraft.(SET485, Containing 14 stamps in total)!!.....now onto my creation which is a birthday card for Dan's Gram...ive used a fabby  Wags n whiskers digi image from Bunny Zoes called "Furry Friends" and its also available in rubber .....the papers are MME Oh  La La for her which i got from my teamie Emma's new online store please pop on over and take a look round she has lots of fabby things including ProMarkers :-)

Just a quick post from me as im still batteling the "man Flu"..had about 2 hrs sleep last night so im off to the DR's then bed....

this is a birthday card i made for one of my PFP teamies..happy birthday Denise :-)

hope i havnt spoiled the suprise....

i simply adore this LOTV image and its ages since i inked her up..ive coloured with promarkers and teamed her up with some SU papers...which ive distressed a little..ive also added stardust stickles to her wings and the flowers..and glossy accent to her shoes...the sentiment is from woodware

Watch the birdie....

Hello crafters  :-).....firstly i have the worst man flu eva!!(DH would argue)...so forgive any little spelling mistakes as im not quite "with it"....however i have managed to get a little crafting done..this is another sample i have made for Sarah Hurley with her fabulous Woodland Whimsie Cd's...which are packed full of papers, sentiments, embellishments, toppers and digi images....ive used this fabby owl digi..and coloured with ProMarkers...if your interested on how then there will be a tutorial at the end of this post ....everything is available on the CD's and she also has a couple of freebies here and here .... dont forget she's also looking for more DT Members ....

heres the tutorial....

firstly ill point out that i used a different card to my usual and the Colours have bled a little although it isnt as noticeable on the finished card....

I started off using Caramel all over the wing area (i nearly always start with the lightest colour and build it up)

dont worry if it looks a little patchy as we will blend it all together later

i than used Cinnamon to start building a little more depth

then again with Cocoa

then blended by going over the whole area in small circular motions with Caramel...you can repeat the process again until you get your desired effect..remember you can use you lighter colours to "lift" some of the colour out if it seems too dark :-)

i then coloured his chest part in Sandstone..giving it a couple of coats

ill point out too that the ink is still quite wet on thse piccies and will dry to a slightly lighter colour

i repeated the same process i used for the wing areas with his head

for his feet and beak i firstly coloured with Tulip Yellow adding a little detail with Gold

i finally used the Blender Pen to draw a feather effect on his chest as this also lifts colour...

All things bright and......

Beautiful??!!...hmmm not sure about that..i think Mr Mojo has taken a little holiday..lol...hope you've got your sunglasses!!...when i started this card it looked completely different in my head!!..ive had the DP for ages and i got the C.C. stamps for my birthday..its the first time ive inked them up and i must say im rather pleased with my attempt at masking :-)..i love the image but i think the whole card is way out of my comfort zone..as a rule i dont "do" bright colours ..im more of a shabby chic girl with more subtle colours and papers..so maybe its just because its different ?..it will probably grow on me over time....ive coloured with promarkers and used a MS border punch and a Nellies die cut to mount the sentiment..ive added some stardust stickles to her wings and the flowers for a little extra sparkle....ive also managed to fit it on quite a few challenges which ill list at the end...

Festival Piccies

Ayup..well we had a fabulous time at the Beat-Herder Festival in Lancashire over the weekend...it was glorious sunshine on saturday and we had a ball...

ive never been to a festival before and the atmosphere was amazing..ill not bore you with all 250 photo's (i am trigger happy..lol)..but anyone who knows me will tell you i have a very strange sense of humour ...so ive put a few together some normal and some portraying my humour (sorry!!)
