A Simply Sassy Saturday...

Hey peeps..well with less than 3hours until the GDT call ends for Simply Sassy i figured i may as well submit another couple of cards....and i suppose now it's in the lap of the gods..well Maria :0)...and after checking out the competition i don't envy her one little bit....

so first up is "Spread Your Wings" from this weeks new release...

isn't she adorable.....

the papers are Bo Bunny and have been distressed, stickled and edged with tattered rose distress ink..and added a liberal helping of tattered angels glimmer mist...flowers are EK Retro punch, swirls are a Marriane Die..coloured with ProMarkers..the sentiment is from pollycraft

i must admit i was a little intimidated by her hair but i think it turned out quite well :0)

Papers are SU which i have added some faux stitching..and the ribbon is recycled from one of my tops - you know the bits your supposed to put on the hangers but always end up stuck out of your top on a night out!!

and again i've coloured with ProMarkers

Wags n Whiskers - White on White

me again!!...this time with my DT card for Wags n Whiskers...this week our challenge theme is to make an only white card with just the image being in colour  ...now i have to admit the first thing i did was hide behind the sofa clicking my ruby slipper saying theres no place like home.......when that didnt work i just ignored it for a while...but in the end i faced my fears and actually i quite like it..it's not something i've ever tried before but i would urge you all to give it a go :0)...

it was a bit of a pain to photograph but i hope you can see that i used my MS border punch and embossing folder to add a little texture to the card along with some flowers from my EK retro flower punch..the ribbon ive had in my stash for ages and the little charm was sent to me by Melly - thanks sweetie :0) and the image is Laila from the Fairy 2 collection and she is available in both rubber and Digi :0)..ive coloured with promarkers and highlighted the yellow ares with cosmic shimmer and used stardust stickles on her wings and the edges of the card...

Having a Sassy Day Off ...

Hi guys...i've had a real fun day today :0)..first up i went and spent some time with my sis and my adorable Nephew Ryan..mmm..yummy....then i followed the blog hop over at Simply Sassy...which in turn forced me to hop over to Funky Kits where a few of the new release just FELL into my basket...i did have a few trauma's deciding as they are all just so fabby but after a 40min phone call to Kaylou the decision was made!!...after that i figured it would be rude not have a little crafty time so i had another play with Hippy Chick..this time i let loose with the Aqua Markers so don't look too close :0)...

i stamped the image onto cream hotpress water colour card with brown (sepia??) Stazon..just for a change :0)...i love Aqua Markers and i really should play with them more...i also mixed a little cosmic shimmer powder in blue to add over the head band, flowers and  eyes.....

the papers have been distressed and stickled and ive threaded some pale blue ribbon through the lace to keep in with the blue/brown combi..a few flowers, pins and pearls and job done....

don't forget Simply Sassy are also running a Guest DT call to go play for a couple of months and you also have until midnight GMT (CET -1) thursday Jan 27th to enter the blog hop :0)

Digital Delights Inspiration.....

Hiya...today i have a quick and easy gift tag to share using one of the latest release from Digital Delights by Louby Loo...he's called Love you Larry..and he's a real sweetheart :0)

ive used my nesties to create the tag and added a few red jewels, red ribbon and coloured with Promarkers...sweet and simple all the way...:0)

Simply Sassy GDT Call

hmmmm..ok...so the girls over at Simply Sassy are having a GDT call for 2 peeps to join the team for 2 months ...and i've been very should I... shouldnt I...because there are so many uber talents guys that have already applied...and it says show us something your good at...hmmm.... im afraid ive eaten all my freshly baked carrot cake so you'll have to make do with a card....but as they say you have to be in it to win it...so here is my humble offering.....

this little lady is "High School Student"...and i just love her...but then again they are all totally gorgeous and i really really need more.....and they are available to buy from  Funkykits.....the papers are called Amplify by Sassafras....and i thought they suited the image with the abc's....of course i've coloured with ProMarkers and added a little glossy accent to her glasses, lunch box and trainers :0)...hope you likey...wish me luck!!

Just a Quickie....

Morning peeps...i finally had chance to play with one of my new LOTV stamps last night....i have a real thing for Dandelion clocks so when i saw her i knew i had to have her!!...so i stayed up for the release and managed to crawl through paypal at around 1.30am Tuesday morning...and what fantastic service i arrived home from work Wed and there they were on the doormat!!....i must have at least 40(ish..cough) LOTV stamps now but i think this is my new favourite :0).....ive made a very simple card coz i have to send it to Cyprus ..but sometimes i do like to CIS :0)

im trying to use some of my older stash up so ive dry embossed and sanded some more core'dinations whitewash card and mounted a a mustard colour card...ribbon and pearls are from my stash, ive coloured with PM and added some stickles and glossy accent :0)

Cupcakes for Kerry....

 Hiya ..told you i'd be back soon :0)..just wanted to share this diary i covered for one of my work friends Kerry who is the Queen of cupcakes!!!....it also fits the theme over at Paper Sundaes which is Circles...i reckon ive got that covered with all those polka dots!!....and Winter Wonderland lets go dotty.. ...think i might be a bit late as cant find the linky thing *sob*.....but you never know...will teach me to be more organised!!and finally it also fits the challenge at Crafty Catz which is food and drink :0

Kept it pretty simple...the papers are CC signature and trimcreft back to basics...ive coloured with Promarkers and added a few stickles and some glossy accents......hope you likey...off to make tea and finish up some DT stuff....have a great evening :0)

Hiya...today i have another card to share using one of the latest release from Digital Delights by Louby Loo...

she's called sweetheart Rosie ....and she's all set for Valentines Day....

Papers are Basic Grey and the sentiment is Dovecraft..ive coloured with promarkers and added a little doodling around the edges

My First Sassy....

Hiya Bloggers...i cant believe ive managed to make a card just for fun!!...but i really couldnt wait to try out my new SN Simply Sassy stamp...she's called Hippie Chick and is available from Funky Kits .... isn't she adorable...ive followed the sketch over at  The Sugar Bowl ...(ive turned it on its side)...and ive managed to fit a few other challenges too...think i need to have more practice with the colouring but im pretty pleased with my first attempt :0)

Ive used K&Co papers that were a real bargain at our local craft shop just 30p per 12x12 sheet....ive inked the edges with Tattered Rose distress inks and distressed and stickled them too (stardust)..ive also added a little flourish to the corners again by stamping with the distress ink...the optional extra to the sketch was to add embossing so i dry embossed some Co'ordinations white wash card and sanded it a little...ive had it at least 2 years and rarely use it but i think it looks ok??...the flowers are from my EK Retro Punch and ive just added a few pearls and a little stickles to her headband, eyes and flowers..and of course ive coloured with ProMarkers ... the butterfly has been taken from a tag i had and ive used my new MS border punch too...so what do you think???.....

Wags n Whiskers Sneak Peek Day 1 and Challenge

Morning!!....time for a new challenge at Wags n Whiskers and a sneak peek of our new release :0)

The challenge this week is "Valentines"...a real challenge for me as it's something i never really bother with despite the fact my gorgeous hubby asked me to marry him on valentines day!!!....

this card is a little bit different from my normal(??) style and its the first time ive used my aqua markers and promarkers together but as i thought the image had a fifties feel to it i wanted  a more aged look...

the image is one of our new release Pin Up's - Magali which will be available to buy in rubber from Monday 10th January..the sentiment is TH the cards were cut out from some DP - Crate Paper -Restoration ...
